DIAMOND EDGE VA is me, Marilyn Morgenlander.
I have 30 years of business workflow and logistics experience in a broad range of companies in corporate America - from startups to large organizations, running the gamut from technology and finance to healthcare. I've also volunteered in a fundraising non-profit organization as local president and regional major event chairperson.
I had lots of responsibilities supporting global managers and tech CTOs. My vast experience has been streamlining financial functioning including credit card reconciliation and expense reporting, project management, and purchasing branded items in accordance with company compliance regulations.
Basically, I worked on anything that involved figuring out the back-end parts that makes a company run effectively and efficiently. I think outside-the-box when the situation requires an inventive solution. I have worked with the brightest and the best. However, "life happens" and the companies went out of business and departments have been eliminated. That's when I made the leap to launch and run a small company of my own, and knowing that I’ve always been the one that former coworkers come to when they needed to build order and intelligence into any project.
Diamond Edge VA is for small businesses and solo entrepreneurs to hire to act as their virtual assistant, helping them make more money, more efficiently and with less stress.
In my off times, I love spending time with my family - children and grandchildren. I'm involved in all they do and it keeps me going. I am an avid knitter and crocheter. I design and create very complex, unusual projects. I also dabble in painting and sculpting - latest art works have been acrylic impressionist and abstract painting. My reading interests are varied - from mysteries to astrophysics. Also, I love spending time with family and friends. When I travel, I enjoy seeing how other cultures live and express themselves in architecture and art. For casual exercise, I walk around the lake in the park near my home on Long Island, NY where 2 swans have made it their summer home and ducks have taught their offspring how to swim. I love the scenery and all it holds.
